hey guys, I have been reading as many different threads on the forum about these xs headers and crank pulleys. From what i understand, xs headers are cheap comptech replacement headers but with same results. I should change the bolts and the washers? with the oem ones. Bolts get heat treated from home depot or something. I should get 8-15hp form this mod? Are there any other tid bits i should know before purchasing this? also....is this the right header?

Now, I have also read that the headers lose some of your low end torque. Someone said its worth changing the crank pulleys as well. if that is the case, which ones do I buy?

How much hp am i looking at with both of these updates? and do i Need to update my exhaust? or is that something i can wait on. does any body have any suggestions? i like the deep sound, but i dont think i like how the tanabe exhaust sounds.

Also, i will have a Injen Cutom SRI put in hopefully next week sometime.

I know i am asking dumb questions but i cant help it....im still learning about cars. so any help would be appreciated!

 

if you're thinking about getting a crank pulley, get the Unorthodox Racing Ultra S Crank Pulley

 

headers, you just get new bolts. you reuse the manifold gaskets and use teh supplied donut gaskets.

As for pulleys, contact our vendor Excelerate for the UR brand pulley. Its the only one you should use.

As for the intake, i wouldnt use a SRI. id get a CAI

 

The headers on the first link are all the way at the bottom Accord V6 headers
Search for the XS header threads for the bolts you will need to get and other tips for install
The pulley from SS Autochrome is cheap and you want to get the one from UR which is balanced right
I also agree with Kris about the CAI, with doing these other mods, you want your engine to get the coolest air possible

Also, remember that if you get the smaller sized pulley, you will need to get the smaller belts as well

 

i think im gonna hold off on the pully just do the headers right now.
