the rear plugs aren't that hard, fronts are very easy. just get an allen wrench set if you dont have one.

All you need is a set of metric allen wrenches. The rears arent that hard. Get a blanket to lay on the motor that you can use to lay on and you will be just fine. You will need a few socket extensions (like a few 3" or a 6" and a 3" )

How do you ensure that the spark plug gap is correct?

how do I get the correct size sparkplug socket? Just wait till they come in and then go to home depot with one? or are the NGK iridiums and metric size so i can use an existing socket I already own?

some spark plugs come in already gapped like the NGK Iriduims...don't change the gap on those, check with the place where you bought them from.

I replaced mine yesterday, took me about 30 mins to do.

Remove the plastic cover with acura emblem for the front spark plugs, they should be done within 5-10 mins depending on your comfort level and tools. The rear ones took me 20 mins to do, it was hard to reach for me. just make sure you don't break/loosen any hoses behind the engine while trying to loosen the ones at the back.

Do one at a time:

1) Open the alen key screw
2) disconnect the wire
3) pull out the connector thing
5) take out the spark plug

then just reinsert the new one and go backwards.

make sure to fully insert the wires on the rear (hear for the click) ones once you are done, that can be tricky due to the placement.

If memory serves me correctly its a 5/8 socket. You will want a sparkplug socket. they are different than regular sockets. They have a rubber sleeve in them to protect the sparkplug and to hold it in place while you insert it. apply a small amount of dielectric grease on the plug so that the socket will come off easier and to help keep the rubber on the coilpack from sticking
