Some advice Plz

So, i have a 01 TL. The only things ive done with is so far is put a system in it, 17" rims, and some tints. And to be totally honest with u, im bored. I was looking into getting these "VIP puddle" lights as my next mod. Ive gone to 3 shops and only one is up for the job of doing this. Does anyone know the easiest way to get around to getting these things put on at an affordable price?

And what about clamping the springs, good idea or bad?

ADVICE PLZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Puddle lights are not a simple or easy install so expect to pay $$$ for it. There's a DIY floating around somewhere on how to do it if your up for a challenge.

Clamping springs? I've never heard of doing this... if you want a drop the simple and cheap way of doing it is buying a set of springs and shocks. Do a search on dropping your car and you'll find a number of options including pictures of the resulting drop.

Good luck and welcome to the forums!

Spring Clamps are a really old school way of lowering the car.

Sometimes just temporary for a race weekend or canyon runs, or because they didn't want to cut the original springs or replace them with lowering springs-
At that point in history, you just torch cut your springs, there was no vendor to PM and get things from. There was no Internet!!!!!!!!!!!

Imagine a miniature spring compressor that just hooks one coil to the next and tightens.

Gave you 1 inch drop and takes out the soft initial part of the spring rate
Often used to tighten up old Datsun 510s
Thats all it was

Today, look at the Off Topic section here, Black Market - Sponsored Sales
There are post by Excellerate and Mr Heel Toe and links to their home websites

Springs Coilovers and more for the total adjustment in height anytime you want
Have fun!

You must have 30 post to your credit before you can PM anyone.

Call the vendors direct for more info on springs

Get a K&N air filter for your TL
