Shopping for tl rims?
Shopping for tl rims?
Just got a 99 tl. Ready to hook up exterior. Wanted suggestions about rims, size & pros & cons, challenges I might face? If you could add pics to. Also lowering, best way to go, not slammed, just right.

You might want to check out the photo gallery thread.
If you want to lower your car without slamming it, most people would go with H&R Sport (1.75" front, 1.5" rear drop) or Eibach pro kit (2.1" Front, 1.75" Rear). There are other ones like the Comptech sports springs, Tein H springs, Tein S springs, etc. Most of these drop about 1" to 2". Again, you can go to the photo gallery or simply do a search.
Also note that most people would also swap out the shocks since lowering springs would shorten the life of the stock shocks.
I bought H&R sports springs, Tokico Illumina shocks, and 18" X 7.5" gunmetal Volk LE37T with 235/40 tires. I don't have pictures yet since I haven't installed these yet.
There's a guide in the Tires & Suspension thread and you can find fitment info there.
