Shift Knobs

Ok, so I found a few threads on shift knobs for the 2gs, but nobody seems to know the actual thread pitch. I found the knob I want, and here are my choices.

M8x1.25
M10x1.25
M10x1.5
M12x1.25
M12x1.5

I THINK its M8x1.25, bc i remember trying a friends RSX knob (M10x1.5) and it just slid over the threads, it was too big. Anyone know for sure?

You could always head to Home Depot or Lowes. Take the shift knob off and try a few bolts till you find the one that fits.

do you have access to a tap and die kit? They have thread pitch gauges in them.

handy-Im curious-how is a dial caliper going to help him with thread pitch?

I figured its the most accurate way to measure the thread pitch on the shifter.

if he was measuring the thickness of the bolt, yes...but thread pitch isnt something a dial caliper will measure.

^ Don't worry, I get what you're saying lol

I'm pretty sure it'll be pretty darn close though, using the top end of the caliper in the picture.

I haven't seen too many thread pitch gauges, but then again it would probably be cheaper than high accuracy calipers....haha

Every Lowes or HD I've been in did. They are in the metal cabinets in the hardware aisle, not the open bins. You need to look.
