Which scanner programmer to get
the main thing you want to look for in a scan-tool(Not to be confused with a scanner) is that it's bi-directional..
meaning; you can read and write DTC's.
which the iCarsoft CR Pro can activate the actuators, like the ABS module, throttle body actuator, SRS(airbags)...etc.
one does not want a scanner that can only read.
I recently bought a "Launch X431" because I had ABS issues. the scan-tool was able to read the DTCs and actuate the ABS module.
I never knew the iCarsoft CR Pro existed, it is a little bit cheaper than the Launch X431

^if you're okay with the $300-400 price tag, try the iCarsoft out!
I could not justify the price of an Autel or a Snap-on Scan tool, as I am just a DIY. If I owned a shop, i'd def would try the Autel.
just curious; what are you trying to diagnose?
