Which Rotors Are Better?

well im geting rotors really soon and i want to know if the Rotora rotors that Excelerate are selling, are equal to better than or if the Comptech Rotors are better. Im seeing these rotors almost for the same price and just want to know which one is a smarter buy.

asking which pads are teh best and then saying which are the cheapest off set your question.
i prefer EBC, but they arent the cheapest and harder to find. i would look for any thing ceramic, or the oem ones

Here try this link

I prefer Akebono ProAct Ceramic pads, quiet, low dust, and good for daily driving, you can get it at www.rockauto.com. You can even find a 5% off coupon by Google it.

Definately go with the Rotora slotted rotors. As for the pads I went with te Hawk HPS. They have ben on the car for a little over 20,000kms and they are great!!!

What do you guys recommend satisfied pro ceramic or akebono pro ceramic pads and how about brembo blanks don't want slotted or cross drilled or any other blank rotors.

Rotora all the way.. they've been the longest lasting rotors i ever put on my car ever since i bought it... they warped after maybe 3k miles instead of 1000 miles like every other rotors i tried

also, the e-coating is great.

I have Brembo blank and Akebono ceramic on my SUV. It is better than stock for sure but no rust preventing paint on non frictional areas. Plus you will find a lot more shops to cut your rotors (not that I am recommending it)if they are warped. In California rust is minimal for me so far.

How are your rotora slotted and akebono's holding up? How many miles on them?

I know you haven't had this set up very long but would you recommend it, the reason i ask is because everybody seems to get ebc, hawks, axxis pads etc... with rotora's.

Definitely, I have Rotora Slotted and Akebono ceramic pads on my SUV for over 10 months and it is great. That is what prompts me to have the same setup for my TLP. In case you have not noticed everyone here is performance oriented, so higher frictional coeficient pad is always opinioned better. But if you prefer not to have tons of dusts, lots of squeaks, and pads designed for street usages (e.g. design that does not assume you heat up the pads for track usage), then ceramic is the way to go. I think you should decide what is important to you, there is no right or wrong answers.

I just got my car back from the dealership and they indeed confirmed the rotors are warped (big surprise). Whe considering my options I mentioned that I was looking into getting crossdrilled/slotted rotors since the OEM rotors are so horrible. He said those type of rotors will add noise to the ride. Whistling and increased road noise.....is this true?

Kris has x drilled front rotors and he posted whistling is normal for x drilled rotors. I have Rotora slotted and Akebono pads for rear axels on my SUV and TLP. The SUV give me a grinding noise when coming to the end of braking. I reversed L and R for the TL and see if slot direction has anything to do with it, instead of \ <- (<- is the rotational direction) as Rotora designed, now I have / <-. My TL does not have that grinding noise. Maybe \ <- is cleaning the pad too much. Reversing it got rid of that slight noise for me so far.
Kris also mentioned you get better pad wear by reversing it, performance is the same.
