Too much going on there, IMO.

Here is what my LED conversion looks like. I prefer the way the stock TL-S gauges look.

Bad pics but you can get the idea. They were infinitely adjustable. You could change the # color and brightness and the background color and brightness separately.

there's lights for five gears, the 99 has 4. I guess you could use it but there will be a random hole. And you shouldn't trust ebay so much when it comes to fitment, I really doubt the guy selling this stuff knows the differences between the years

I bet half the people that are waiting on this DIY will not even attempt it when he releases it. Its not as easy as you guys may think, I was at his place for a full day. He spent a total of 15 hours when doing mine and that was with no problems. The amount of time and patience it takes to do this mod makes you appreciate it even more, alot more than just swapping out the gauges for some Ebay ones.

I never meant to direct it towards you, I was just saying in general.

Sorry if that's how you took it.

I did a little more searching, i found in this thread that you can cut out the separators and it will work without looking bad. Just in case anyone was wondering.

I already ordered mine so ill see how it comes out. Anyway it was only about 30.00 shipped.

I did it like 3 years ago and I paid only $15 shipped but still work on 99tl until now. It's really reliable even $50 really worth it mod IMO.

Leds arent hard to work with. If someone were to take a weekend with their cluster they could do the same thing.

x2. it easy once you get in there.

solder a resistor to every led then wore them all up in parallel. hook up to 12 v source and youre done.

also, shave the diffusor paint off the back of the guages so that the numbers light up

So the link in the DIY section for reverse glow gauges doesnt work, does anyone have a link to another diy, or at least how to get the dash apart to get to the gauges?
