replacing hid headlight bulbs

replacing hid headlight bulbs

is this easy to do, or does the front bumper have to be removed? The DIY really doesn't show much, and I'm curious as to whether the DIY shows all that is needed to replace the bulbs.

Front bumper doesn't need to be off. If you have your stock intake, your gonna have to remove that in order to get access to the Drivers-side light.. otherwise, use a #20 security-bit Torx to get the back, plastic cover piece off. Remove the security bit, then turn the cover piece away from the engine bay (turn right).

Just make sure to remember how and which side up the ignitor/bulb goes into the socket.. other than that, its fairly a simple job.

Nothing needs to come off other than possibly the air box (i dont know as i have a CAI). No the bumper doesnt need to come off.
