sistom is right, cai is definitely the way to go, but im way too poor right now to be dropping like 150-300 on an intake, so i just took of the intake resonator for a little muscle sound for the time being. Im pretty new when it comes to mods, but it is really easy to take off the bumper, just a few tabs and screws and then the resonator is on the very left side of the car, below the air filter, there are two bolts that are holding it in place, quick and easy mod.
You might want to search for this, i found a lot of info on this mod searching.

Do a search for removing the resonator. Plenty of info on it. I would remove it and get a K&N filter

What does this mean? Will it give me more power and will it hurt anything?

the resonator is just that. A resonator. It keeps the intake quieter. It should as it removes the air restriction, No

only under WOT will it make it louder. The resonator is there because what VTEC does to the intake pulse is loud.

Finally a question about an acronym that I can answer. It stands for Wide Open Throttle, I had to ask this a while back as well, basically when you hit the VTEC.

figured you would like it. Most do. Now if you want it louder, cut the bottom of the air box open to allow more air in. and remove the small resonator and replace it with a hockey puck or like i did a pvc end cap.

I removed my resonator yesterday pretty simple to do. I now plan on putting a K&N filter in, also thinking about connecting a pipe to that rubber piece to extend it lower.
I dont want to cut the bottom of the box open just incase i sell the car.

well if you remove the small resonator you will have a giant unfiltered hole. You need something like i described to plug it

you can always epoxy it back together, or buy a new one for 42 bucks

Well i took off the resonator a few days ago and changed to a K&N air filter... sounds pretty good.
Also I am noticing much better gas mileage im at 175 mile with a half a tank left and i have been driving harder then usual just because the sound is still new to me. Usually i get around 300 per tank.
So for about 20min of work and $45 dollars i think it was well worth it.

This is a great cheap mod. I did it and I loved it...later when i could afford it, i stepped up to an icebox and i don't regret it one bit...
