removing rear A emblem

Whats up people, I need some advise on how to remove my back A emblem on my 02 TL-S. I am almost done with my JDM conversion, and this is the last thing I need to do.

use a blow dryer of heat gun. warm it up for a good 10-15 minutes. start peeling it off. once you get it off, you'll probably need some of that goo-gone product to rub that gunk off your trunk. once you do that, use some nail polish remover or something similar to clean that area. than you can attach the Honda emblem (im assuming thats what your doing since you said jdm conversion)

i have heard that all you need is some dental floss. if dental floss alone doesnt take it off, heat it then use dental floss. then use the goo gone.

Oh crap, for some reason I thought the emblem was rivited in. I never looked at it that close. I am completely debadged except for the "A" and the red TypeS..shoot, that A is coming off!!!

And yes, teflon dental floss and a bit of goo gone if heavy residue is left behind, or just plain ol terry cloth and wax if it's just a little bit will work perfectly.

tru, thanks for the tips guys. I always thought it was bolted on to the back. I never knew it was like the acura and 3.2 badge. With this heat wave it should come right off.

I think if you remove the 'A' there will be two holes showing?

thats what i thought as well. i believe the "A" has the 2 holes in the trunk to keep it on there. just to be safe. pop the trunk and look in the back of the emblem. i believe there is two holes there.

WOAH.. the A's actually NOT rivetted to the trunk?... well shit, I could've taken it off a while back then when i took off the other emblems. Actually, do any of you still have the "3.2TL" and "Type-S" emblems that you removed from the back of your car? I was thinking of labeling mine the Type-S since I'm pretty much one at the moment. lol If not, it's okay

^ if you want to do a really "cheap" way ... buy an Accord one (99+) and then shave off the metal plugs ... use some double-sided tape and you're all set.

Personally, just check out the price A&J Racing in Vancouver or any one of the vendors to this site will charge you for the JDM conversion. This is what mine (JDM badging) looks like:

yea id rather order the proper H that fits, its just that according to pimpravi the H doesnt fit the 99-01 models? can anyone confirm this or has anyone purchased the H from a-j and installed it on a 99-01

the way i want it to be is that there will only be the H on the back and i already have the inspire script in the front grille

EDIT: since A-J is in canada i wont pay duties/taxes.. i should only pay around 30 bux sounds good to me

You can also go to Mr. Heel toe. He's a vendor here, check the black market.
