Hey guys, i was just wondering if anyone has any experience with doing a rear muffler delete and keeping the cat and mid muffler obviously. I also had a question on what size piping i should use, 2.25 is what i was thinking, but a buddy told me 2.5 would probably have a deeper tone.. im also worried about drone. any feedback would be great. thanks a lot

 

ptown, I just recently deleted my rear mufflers. I currently have a stage 2 set up and rear muffler delete. (magnaflow resonator & midmuffler delete). Sound is GREAT! Very deep tone and pretty loud. I have 2.5 in straight pipes from the resonator back. However, it is 2.25 piping the last 2 feet where the mufflers used to be. Highly recommend this

 

i did the exact same thing you did... beside the fact you put a resonator there i put in a dual chamber magnaflow muffler, and yes it does sound fantastic. glad your happy with it. you can hear my current exhaust with the magnaflow muffler on one of the threads. just search custom magnaflow exhaust! or just scroll on the newer posts i shouldnt be too far down on the list!
