03 tl-p

just had my comptech headers installed today but there is a pretty loud rasp at above 2K rpms... stock cat with aem v2 Cai and tsudo axelbacks.

anyone with the same setup? with the stock headers it sounded good to me...and now i have to get rid of the rasp.

I'd check gaskets or cracks.
Ct headers aren't suppose to rasp.

I remember you had this raspy problem a while ago. Did you ever correct it? I believe it was the xlr8 hi flow cat that caused it right? Did you keep it and add a p2r resonator? or did you get rid of the hi flow cat? im interested because my next mods will be CT headers and the xlr8 hi flow cat. i have the atlp exhaust as well, and i love how it sounds now. i dont want the raspyness

I'm sure the ATLP exhaust sounds great alone, but how does it sound with the headers? Is it too loud/have drone?

the headers made it a lil bit louder. but it made it more deeper sound when you give it.. at times it can be a lil too loud there is quite a bit of drone inside when cruising even at low rpms. especially highway it gets kinda annoying

Befor I went with DC headers I had OBX and modded them to be equal length, and it reduced the drone.
A friend of mine had a WS2 catback and now has ATLP and i hoestly think it sounds worst with his current mods, he put the stock header back on and the ATLP sounds great........
Why do ATLP's drone anyway, at that price should be perfect!

ATLP's are just straigh through 2.5" piping with no resonators. The ATLP removes the stock resonator and replaces it with nothing. While the apexi still has a resonator on their catback to reduce or minimize drone. When I was looking for exhausts I almost bought the ws2 but due to part availability from the guy I was ordering from I just cancelled my order, and I am 100% satisfied that I did and picked up an ATLP instead. Totally worth the $$$.

its actually better that it splits to 2.25" so it keeps some back pressure.

Yea I agree. Thats where my butt dyno kicks in. I can kinda feel the extra HP from the stock exhaust to ATLP's
