Question Question for my Spring mod (XS)...

I just got the XS headers I ordered last week in the mail today . I've read several threads on XS headers and am aware that it would be good to re-use the OEM gaskets and buy better bolts. So I went to AutoZone today to get the M10x30 or M10x40 bolts that members suggested. I'm a newb at these kinda stuff and when I checked the size of the bolts that XS sent me, it fitted as a M8 bolt. The M10x30 that are suggested mean 10mm x 30mm right? The M8 bolts stated that they were 1.0cm, and the M10 bolts stated that they were 1.25cm. Do I need the M8 ones that say they are 1.0cm by 3.0cm? Also was wondering if there are any other better places to buy bolts other than AutoZone.

Also planning on putting in EBC Green Stuff in the front, and Luminics foglights since my Nokya ones ran out awhile ago. Can't wait til Spring Break lol

u could buy bolts from ACE or any auto shop. i wouldnt put the ebc green stuff, too much dust and i heard that it start squeaking after a while. i got hawk performance street pads and i have some dust but better stopping distance. also lots of ppl recomend them, check out our vendors they'll hook u up for a good price

I have Hawk HPS also - front and rear - on slotted rotors and the dust I accumulate is annoying as hell. Are you sure the EBC green create more dust than HPS?

i have the hawk hps in the front with ebc slotted and drilled rotors in front and the first 1000 mile i had some squeaks and lots of dust the first 500mile now i have little dust (im an aggressive driver) and no squeaks. a friend from work had the green stuff on stock rotors up front and he couldnt stand the dust so he switched them out the the hawk and no problems now.

I can vouch for low dust on the Hawk HPS as well. Only the first 500 miles were dusty, and right after I bedded them in they were dusty. So far so good though and have had them for about 2k on the car.

The ones that come with the headers are too small. Thats why we said M10 x30 or 40.

I love the "I heard's"
Too much dust Of the High Performance pads they produce the least. They arent any more than the stock pads for dust. There is more durring the first 500 or so while the break in coating wears off, after that very little.
And as for noise, ive NEVER had any noise nor has any one i know thats run them

I had time yesterday so I got my XS headers and EBC Green Stuff installed. I was able to find the correct sizes for the replacement bolts, thanks. So far loving the sound when it goes above 3k rpm , some resonance but doesn't bother me too much. As for the pads, Im liking them too, alot better than my worn-out OEM pads.
