welcome to the club. can't believe the dealership drilled straight into the bumper. i left my holes there but if you really wanted to cover them you can look into the honda plate plugs. however, since they wont screw into our holes, you'd have to adhere them to the bumper.

Man that sucks, they are definitely not supposed to do that. That's what the plastic plate holders are for, they bolt up underneath the bumper.

try bumperplugs.com

you can polish/cut the paint to minimize the scratches, but you probably won't be able to totally remove them. the good news is that you probably won't be able to see them from several feet away, so not too big a deal.

Ya, that sucks man. My wife works for an Acura dealership, and she told me that they're instucted to only bolt underneath- and not drill into the bumper. You could try finding a colored filler, but i'm not sure how reliable (esp. in weather) that would be.

Even my factory plate holder will rub against the bumper creating scratches, it's not perfect, still better than having holes in it though for sure.

thats sad, sorry to see this. I guess stupid people do stupid things, even at the dealerships. But hey, you can use couple of LEDs in the place of screws, just a thought.

yeah, i actually have the same exact holes in my 99 tl. i just didnt like the plate so high up so i flipped the bracket upside down and have it like that. thing is my bumper already has a few scrathes and a pretty big scrape on it too from the previous owner. so a few more scratches and 2 holes just slightly add to the damage. ill prbly just drive this winter with it, and maybe get it touched up and repainted next spring. it does suck tho. mine is NBP at least, holes arent as noticeable
