to do it correctly, you'll need to invest in the sprayer kit.

if you do it by rattle can, your 'dip' will have inconsistencies every where.

The whole car a sprayer kit. If your just doing your rims you can get away with just the spray cans.

Yeah, as Justnspace stated !!!
Unless ya have some previous experience, ya may not like the end result.
Do your homework with researching before even attempting this project. But, ya can "peel" the stuff off ....so they say ?

Its not hard to get the finish to look good "If" you take your time. As stated above, get the entire kit that comes with a sprayer and read up on it. Dont rush, and DONT try to make it cover in 2-3 coats. MANY thin coats will achieve a MUCH better finish. There are So many colors and options available for plastidipping now. You can even add pigment and make your own colors.

Yeah I'll definitely be going with the whole car kit from dyc. It seems it'd be as easy as it seems. I'm thinking about spray can dipping my rims tonight so I can get a little more familiar with plastidip before doing my whole car

i would never pay dyc prices, they overprice the shit out of their stuff. check ebay and other sites. i used a wagner sprayer, the only problem with the wagner setup is the tube that goes in the cup with the paint. its too short and when it catches air it makes the dip splatter all over the place. easy fix is to keep it filled at all times, or just put a piece of tube in there so it sucks from the bottom and not from half an inch to an inch from the bottom of the cup.

BIG mistake I made, and I did a fantastic job btw as well as having some paint experience. I did the whole car white with plasti dip I got the full car kit ended up paying like 450$ took several days looked grate for a week when it then started bubbling and there was overspray because the sprayer they give you in the kit is garbage, I removed it after a couple months it was a pain in the ass even tried power washing took a while but what ever went down to maccos they had a sale on there premium paint and I paid 400$ and has a 3 year warrantee shockingly good quality looks new. wish i did that in the first place. although i did the wheels too with dip and they are worth just getting a couple of cans for 12 bucks at pepboys and they are alright.

i think this is how you post the pictures? ya well looks good right? wrong what you dont see in pictures is how grainy it is when you do it, mostly because of the shitty sprayer that comes with the kit but still very difficult to make a smooth surface on the whole car. and it will bubble after a couple of weeks on the bumpers because the plastic bumper expands and the dip bubbles up

ya it did include prep and color change but i got a similar color slightly darker cuz i wanted the inside to match. and they were running a half of there mid range or premium paint package
also i suggest reading the reviews on your macco location because it really does matter witch location you go to and who they hire to paint your car.

I had zero issues with their sprayer. If you had issues with it bubbling you didnt prep the car properly. Also the more coats you put on the easier it is to peal off.

^very true if you put it on thin it will be a bitch to remove. Also depends on condition of what your spraying. A relatively cheap fast way to remove dip is to buy goo gone and cheap thin paper towels. The paper towels hold the goo gone in place and keep it from drying too fast.

Don't use thick expensive paper towels, they hold too much of the goo gone and it won't work as well. I used shop towels and the cheap ass super thin towels worked 100x better.

If its too thin you cant get it to continue to peel. It just keeps tearing.
