Plasti dip question?
Don't do it. If you are going to paint/plasti dip your wheels, stick to one color. Leave as is, or go for one color. Personally I wouldn't do it, as they look fine being brushed aluminum.
I plastidipped my wheels. They hold up very well depending on your climate. I am in an area where snow takes up a majority of the year so once it's nice out I re do my wheels. I also wash my car once to twice a week depending on the weather and the wheels seem to be holding up very well with the plastidip through the carwash.

Yeah I ended up dipping my rims and haven't gotten anything but compliments on them, I really took my time, but do you think if i take it through one of those carnwashesmwith the rubber things that spin like crazy that it will rip the dip of the rims? Because that's the only thing that seems to be stopping me from washing my car and all of the pollin off it
I use My oem wheels as winter wheels and they have been plasti dipped and we have lots of snow, salt and sand in the winter on our roads. I bring it thru the car wash weekly which has a wheel scrubber and it hasnt harmed/peeled the wheels.
this might or might not work well with stock factory wheels; butt, if you put down a base coat of plastidip (thick base coat) you can then paint them any color with a permanent color on top of the base.
when tired of having pink wheels; chip it away!

I did my 02 wheels. The stuff goes on great, and as long as you sand your wheels with scotch bright and clean them with degreaser before hand then you should have no problems.
I took my wheels off of the car, but I left the tires on.
Place playing cards (or index cards) in the crease between the rim and tire to avoid overspray.
The can recommends 3-4 coats but I did 5-6.
It took two cans to do 4 16" rims.
Great stuff and very easy to use!

I currently Have Mine Plasti-Dipped. I'm with The People above By Sticking To One Color Although You Can Tape Off The Inner Section Which Is How I have Mine Right Now. Since The Inner Layer Is Already A Gunmetal Color I Taped Over That And Painted The Rest Black. I can Post Pics if You'd Like.
