A-pillar Gauge pod??

Hey guys.

I remember i did post this a while back but i just ordered the dual gauge pillar. It was for a 01-03 CL. after i ordered it i did a search and i did find it. it looks like about a few years back a guy on the CL boards got it going with lotek. They still have it available so i was wondering if they got that issue with the fitment resolved?? i know of the board member with the turbo replied to that other post i did and refered me to the lotek one so he said there is no issues with the fitment but im not sure if the length was resolved. but anyways if someone can post up there pillar pods on the TLs that would help me out so much since i have the autometer C2 gauges coming in already. so any info would help thanks guys

What's up man, I responded to your pm just now from earlier.

Yeah, I don't like how it fits and I think the new one I got for an accord will look better once I paint it and install in.

I got it from www.gaugepods.com. it is a company named lotek. they have a custom pod for the CL. NOT THE TL. so i know it was a little short on the top so it did not line up correct with the headliner. but im going to try it and i ordered it already so we will see when i get it.

HMMM. is that the pillar from lotek?? did you have to modify it in any way?? looks like it was made for the TL for some reason?? hmm. i wonder if they did change the design?? if they didn't then ill have to cut the top of my stock one and weld it in place and do some body work too it. if thats how it was when it came then man i think i would be satisfied. but yeah im just worried about he top being too short and ill have to cut something and pastic weld it. thanks for your help man. i really appreacite it.

i just got the one from lotek. it DOES NOT fit right. it fits ok. but i have to custom make a plastic piece to fill in near the top where it meets the headliner. its too short so it does not go all the way up. but it fits ok i mean all the pillar mounts up but it just not long enough for the top to be flush. ill take some pics. im in the process of modding a plastic piece to fill in the gaps. ill post picks of a before and after.

hey blk2001tlon19s i see you have to oil pressure gauge. could you ask the guys that did the install for you where they got the signal from?? im assuming its the electronic gauge and not the mechanical. i was wondering if they tapped the signal from the stock sensor or if they ran the autometer sensor?? also if they could tell you where the stock oil pressure sensor is. that would be even better. thanks j

Well here is the pics of how short the lotek one is. DONT BUY it from them unless you are willing to modifiy the piece. if it was longer then it would be a little easier. you can cut but when its too short its a pain in the arse to fill it in. i dont like working with FG and i tried to fab up a plastic piece but its just too much curves and the top part (windshild side) fits perfect to the top but when it curves down toward the bottom its too short. so its hard to get a piece that does not go all the way to the top while keeping that curve without making something from scratch. so i think i might sell this pod.. any takers??

Actually, mine is a mechanical gauge. I will ask but I'm sure they won't remember. That install was last sept and I'm the only tl/cl they work on for performance stuff. I believe they used the stock sensor because I didn't buy anything extra unless the gauge came with the sensor which I'm not sure because I never opened the box but the box was bigger then the one for the boost gauge.

Actually if it was mechanical then you will have an oil line in the car. They use either a nylon hose with a 1/8 npt fitting and they run that all the way to the gauge from the place where they tap the other end from. so they probably used a fitting with a t-block and mounted the stock oil pressure sensor on that block with the fitting with the nylon or stainless braided line too.
yeah if you could ask them for me where they tap that line off of. i know the general location. its right where the oil filter is but there is like 2 sensors there and i dont want to use the wrong one. i know what the oil pressure one looks like on a b-series 4cyl but not on the v6. thanks man for your help.

is your 2 gauge pod off just as much as mine is?? also if i were to use the 3 gauge pod from the accord how does it fit?? is it better than the lotek one?? thanks man. j

Ill try and take some pics soon. i just modified the CL pod to fit. not the greatest of fit but i have to finish it.i just wanted to get the gauges in there and just figure out from there. i just got a piece of plastic and bent it and molded it. then i got plastic welding rods and plastic welded it together. i still have to work it a little more but it fits and its ok. i just need to finish it up. plus i have to paint it grey yet. but ill post up some pics soon. but i just modified it to fit. there is non that fits the TL perfectly. i have not tried the accord one just yet but i didn't need 3 gauges in there.
