outlaw thermoblok install tips?

Alrighty i got the thermobloks.i'm look'n for any tips from peolpe that have done it before. the instructions look simple so far. i printed a DIY from v6 performance.net & i want to put them in tommorow morning. i feel fairly confident but this is my daily driver and i dont want to fudge it up. looking for any dos, donts, things to keep handy or problems to look out for. so any info bring it on

be confident. this is an easy diy. just follow the instructions and you cannot go wrong. no tricks other than the coolant hose at the bottom of the TB is a bitch to get off and back on. that was the only troublesome issue I dealt with, everything else was smooth as silk.

clean your Egr while your at it.Search the forum for the DIY, alot of people do these in tandem.

its easy .. remove 4 bolts unplug a couple of hoses and thats it..

i installed my spacers in like 45 min and i have cleaned my intake manifold and egr port at the same time ..

the TB might get stuck, so use a rubber mallet to get it off. O and DON'T OVERTORQUE ANYTHING cause your dealing with an aluminum block

Get yourself a gasket scraper. You'll need to remove the old gaskets before you put the new ones on.

Make sure you have a torque wrench to tighten everything down.

^^ yea remove the old shit, the tb gasket was stuck when id id mine.

These outlaw thermoblock spacers will fit in an 01' TL correct. And all the spacers really do is help to dissipate heat right? Sorry for jacking the thread, but I'm in the market for another DIY mod before I get headers. Thanks.

when you order the set you need to tell for witch car you need it and they will send you the right set.. you can order it directly from the outlaw engenering site.. its about 100$us shipped.. and you have the instruction with it, just fallow it and you will be fine.. take the time to clean your intake manifold and egr port at the same time !
