options for headlight change on 2000 tl

hey everyone i am new to the forum and new to owning a tl. i was wondering are there any options for changing headlights on my car? my intentions are to make my 00 style headlights which have the piece of glass behind the headlight lens clear... is this possible like is there an aftermarket headlight available? thanks alot.

Nope. Your stuck with the diffuser. You can pull it out but the light pattern isnt as controlled. Your only real option is a custom projector retrofit. You cant buy them any where. You have to do it yourself.

I remember reading somewhere on here that you can get some kind of material from Home Depot and cut it to size and have a clear diffuser

I actually own an 03 TL, and was thinking about getting a replacement headlight. I just read on the black market of a guy JnC on the 3G forum who make custom headlights for the TL.
I was wondering if anyone had ever had him work on the 2G TL headlight. Some of his 3G work are freaken amazing tho.

how about pulling the headlights apart and painting the housing black?

Yes this is true.

You can use the fluorescent light clear covers that are used for drop ceilings.
