Hmm, I remember replacing my tail light housing before, and I didn't have to take off the bumper. It was really easy, and I didn't even know how to disconnect the battery back then.

For the headlight, I think you may have to remove the bumper. Not sure though.

For headlights, front bumper will need to be removed. There is a support bar or something underneath the headlight behind the bumper. Don't forget to put it back on afterward. Very annoying having to redo everything.

I just looked at the front headlight removal instructions in the shop manual. Confirmed, the front bumper cover must be removed.

I can say from experience the bumper cover has to come off for the fronts,
expect a few plastic retainer pins to break in the process

rears iirc, are direct bolt into body- look in trunk for screws

please dont tint your lights!!! its hard enough for a TL to be seen anyway
let alone remove the distance drivers can see you from behind
(or add LED taillight bulbs -which will need resistors for each bulb)

in front- I ADD lighting,,,not take it away
but I dont like finding/hitting potholes or objects in the road at night~

Its Fun at first, but when you try and take off the tint u will hate yourself for doing it, with niteshades anyway, ended up destroying my taillights had to get new ones and there are screws in the trunk behind the grey felt liner. Btw niteshades fades and looks like shit, i blacked out the red and kept the reverse and back up lights clear. I would never do it again. But putting on lay is a bitch also tried doing that to my headlights waste of 60 bucks because it wrinkles and gets f'ed up
