Motor mount performance
Motor mount performance
Correct me if im wrong, but when you floor your car from a dead stop your motor torques up first then unleashes the power to the wheels. So........... What if you were to strap down the front motor mount where the motor throws its power directly to the wheels. Kind of like a solid mount.
WHY?
there are solid poly filled mounts available if breakage is your issue
The stock mounts (depending on model/year) contain a special hydraulic type fluid oil AND have a vacuum powered assist system built into them as well.

Torque. Its just like when your car has the stock springs and struts, from a dead stop if you floor your car the front end of your car lifts up high then takes off, But if your car is lowered it dont lift up as high making your car stiffer so it transfers the torque faster to the wheels.

i poly'ed my mounts but never dyno'd them so i don't know if there was a big difference. personally i couldn't tell. i went back to stock mounts before i had my transmission replaced last time in November. i may swap the front one back out in the spring with the poly filled one.
