Mid muffler delete

If I do a mid muffler delete. Does the shop need to weld on a piece of straight pipe? Or can I find an actual product that I can put in replace.

The shop will cut off the midmuffler itself (the big canister right before the dual exhaust pipes), then they will grab a piece of metal, cut it, make the diameter larger if they need to, and weld it into place.
