May be a silly question but....

Just had a quick question, like I said it may be silly, but I am detailing my car and as we all know when waxing and buffing it is hard to go between the ACURA logo and 3.2 TL logo, are these easily removable so I can wax the area? And if so I'm assuming it's just taking off the carpet on the inside of the trunk correct? Thanks!

The word ACURA is taped on. You can remove but you'll need 3M tape to apply it back. The A is pinned on. This you can remove and put back easily I think.

Normally I just go around the word ACURA when I detail. I sometimes go in between the letters by hand when I wax though.

I tape off the emblems and polish the rest of the trunk.

How does the emblem come off though? Is it just pinned on, so you carefully pry it off or it is screwed on, or what?

dont just pull it off !!!!

take a hair dryer to it and take it off using a dental floss !!! now this applied to the ACURA and 3.2TL lettering and not for the A symbol !!!

no dont do that, take a plastic spreader or something very thin and u will start to remove the double edge tape holding the ACURA on and thats all you need to do after that there might be some double sided tape left on the trunk, you can easily remove that with a rubber wheel or just take thinners to it, BUT make sure your trunk hasnt been painted before you use thinners lol, if it has just use degreaser and it should come off. for the A symbol clip puller and gently pry on one side at a time and it shuld pop off. VERY EASY!

use a heat gun, heat it up and use fishing wire to run behind the badges. They all come off the same way, only difference with the A is that it has 2 aligning pins in it. They all are stuck on with 3M double sided tape

once you take off the letters i wouldnt both putting them back on. its a pain getting all the 3M glue off, took me a few hours in all. did it last weekend. was a pretty bad experience. if you are planning on taking it off set aside an hour or so, its easy but quite tedious.

if you debadge then use Goo Gone to take off the remaining tape residue. DO NOT USE PAINT THINNER OR STRIPPER.
