lowering springs..??

Need some clarification... there are a couple of options when it comes to lowering springs.. i can do the inexpensive route and do the eibach pro kit.. or can do the more expensive route and do the eiback sport kit..?

1. pro kit = Lowering Coil Springs; Front w/2.1 in. Drop; Rear w/1.6 in. Drop

2. sport system = Lowering Kit; Incl. Sportline Extreme Performance Coil Springs/Pro-Dampers Performance Shocks; Front w/2 in. Drop; Rear w/2 in. Drop;

my question is how big will the difference be between the two.. i dont want my car to ride like sh*t.. kinda afraid to lower my car.. but looks kinda silly..

btw have 18x6 rims.. w/ 225/40/zr18 tires !THANX!

The prokit is just lowering springs. If I'm not mistaken, the sport system is the sportline lowering springs (lower than prokit) and matched shocks. If you use your stock shocks with the prokit, it will ride pretty poorly.

Btw, I'm surprised you're able to run 225 width tires on 6" wide rims...

You can get a Pro-kit with the matched struts. That is what I have. I belive the Sportline springs are not only lower but stiffer. Depends on what you are going to do with the car. Street only, autocross, track time? My ride is kinda harsh on bumpy roads with the Pro-kit. I don't want to think what it would be like with the Sportline

you're going to sacrafice your ride quality by lowering no matter what you do, I had the Eibach Pro Kit on with the stock struts and I didn't find the ride quality suffered very much, when the stock struts wore out I went with Tokico blue struts and found the ride very similar to the stocks, now I'm running K-sport Coilovers and the ride is considerably rougher so I wouldn't suggest for you, you should be fine with the Pro Kit and stock struts IMO
