led retro opinions poll feedback please

hey guys i have gotten the led bug and i was tryin to keep this a secret but i would some help with this decision.

i dont know how many have seen the audi r8 tails in real life but they have these kinda angel eyes. i was thinking of doing something similar but i cant decide between two circles or two rectangles.

heres a pic. heres what i would want to do.

in the pics above the round black line on the outsidewould be the angel eye type halos and then the red circle would be the leds that only come on upon braking.

on the top one it would be the red line are the halos the solid red rectangles are where the leds would be only for brake.

Just cause I feel like disagreeing with every one. I say the round ones......... but you should do the square ones........ or the round ones

I found a vendor that can do custom LEDs. But it ain't cheap! I think they told me around $300 for custom LED set. Plus, you have to send your tails to them and 2-3 week turnaround. Perhaps a trip to the junkyard would work, or a cheap set on ebay would fit the bill. It looks like they do good work and can add orange LEDs for turn signals and can do the brake/running light pattern anyway you want. I was thinking of trying to get my brakes/running lights to look like the newer volvos with the LED bars they have. Very bright!

I think the LED tails would complete my exterior and freshen up the car to newer standards..especially since all Acura's now have LEDs in the back.

I say we rally the troops to get a group buy going. They told me they would be open to the idea, but they would most likely need a standard configuration that would allow them to get these to us quickly. I personally want my brake, running and turn signals (orange/amber) in the rear to be LED.

I am sorry guys but I am not digging neither of those. Not square or round...and i have to say it doesn't even look good on a BMW.

well if do two squared circles like the r8......it might look good, but the problem is that you'll never really know til you see in person so go for it......buy a project light and try a few different things.....
