K&n cai

Has anybody used this?
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Cold-Air-Inta...47268e&vxp=mtr
I'm going to do the intake resonator removal and I'm wondering if I should get this or just the regular K&N air filter? I'm mostly just looking for sound improval, i could care less if I gain any power. Also, is this kit all "K&N" or is it just the filter? Cuz $100 seems pretty cheap for a brand name CAI.

BTW, I searched and couldnt find anything about this kit, sorry if i missed it.

It's not a name rand air intake it just has a k&n filter. If your just worried about sound remove the intake resonator and drop Ina k&n filter

Ok thats what I figured. Next question, if I'm doing the resonator mod, what's the benefits of the K&N filter? Like will it improve sound?

Hey Tug'nut.....the K & N will improve breathing efficiency for the intake of air and it's also a lifetime reusable filter.
As with sound improvement, you probably wouldn't notice any difference if you're doing the airbox resonator mod.

Deleting the intake resonator does make it louder like a aftermarket intake but not as loud, check YouTube. Also k&n is a much better filter and they are rechargeable so you can keep reusin it instead of having to buy a new one. If you need one for the stock air box shoot me a pm I might have one that I only used for 10-20k miles

So guys, I did the intake delete and I like how it sounds WOT but I think Im looking for more. I also plan on doing the mid-pipe delete possibly.

Anyway, as far as intake, should I go with this, or an AEM SRI? Keep in mind, power gains are not necessary but wouldn't hurt The AEM is about $50-60 more, is it worth it?

Don't get the SRI, if anything you will LOSE power from the SRI as it pulls the air from the hot engine bay. Any $30-50 dollar CAI will produce near identical results to AEM/K&N. The ONLY reason why AEM/ Weapon R and other brand name intakes are expensive is the CARB certification they possess. I have a $10 generic pipe with $5 big cone filter working as CAI, works and sounds great. Here is the sound.
