intake resonator removed?

intake resonator removed?

hey guys, im going to put my fogs lights on my car with custom fitting and since im going to remove the bumper cover, i said that i should take the intake resonator out but i want to know if i take it out do i have to put some thing back or i leave how it is?

leave it out - your intake will have a nice sound to it. the air will come in from the hole on the bottom of your air filter housing so you do not need the resonator other than to keep the intake sound down

Does anyone think that my CA Emissions will be faulty if I go removing my Intake Resonator? I suppose I could just put it back when I have to go get smogged - but it would be a little bit of a pain. So if anyone knows for sure that would be awesome! What is there to gain by removing the intake resonator? Exhaust Resonator? Ill search too, dont answer those last 2 if I'll find my answers in the searches.... Thanks~~~

Remove JUST the lower resonator behind the bumper
Its not checked and wont increase any tailpipe readings
With CAI systems being legal- this is nothing!

More air is good- thats why you do it
