I got a question, looking to do some engine mods, Can I just put a cold air intake? Is there any issue with just having a cold air intake? I am not into racing my TL, but I do like to open it up a little when im on a nice open highway. So I want to get a comptech icebox intake. I have a 2002 TL-S. Can anyone let me know if its ok just to have an intake?

 

Both are good if you are just looking for a few horses. The biggest diffrence between them two are Ice box looks stock and quiet vs Intake will give you a pretty noticeable noise once you go into v-tec. Can't go wrong with either one, I have the CAI but that's because the price. Good luck happy modding..

the icebox is an intake....my first mod was an AEM intake and i loved it, and i'm sure you will love the new power from the icebox.

Quick question, is the Icebox difficult to install?

 

no more than any other CAI. just need to remove the old stuff and install teh new. (either take the bumper off which isnt hard at all or remove teh fender liner to gain access to the resonator that needs to be removed
