Hey 03AcuraTL-S, if you're going to just replace the one coil that died...... go out and buy an aftermarket brand at a savings. Most are made to OEM specs, but stick with a better brand.

There may be some upgraded high performance coils available if you do some research. But, unless you're going to replace all of the coils at once.....there would be no benefit to upgrade by only replacing the one needed now. If expense was not an issue, the Honda original coils would be my choice for best overall quality and service.

^ Agree

There arent any high performance ones out there. Just get what you find.

You can get OEM here for about the same price as parts stores

I have seen someone running Honda cbr coils but he said they didn't have an igniter in them so they won't work. I can't remember his name but he did the rwd conversion to a cl. What does this mean and how could they be made to work?

Its ThinJims full blown boosted drag car. Its not worth the time and cost on a stock motor I believe with those coils you need a full standalone to control them and you will need an external ignitor (the power that drives the coils)
