I just got a comptech icebox on ebay, from a store with really good feedback, but now that i opened the box, I noticed the air box lid doesn't have 'comptech sports' stamped on it. As a matter of fact, it has a slight discoloration in the plastic where the stamping would be.
Is there a chance this is a replica? the hardware came in sealed bags, along with the comptech instructions.
The parts look like they have good build quality, and the filter is foam like it's suppose to be, I just don't see any part numbers or stamping.
what do you guys think?

Comptech went through some corporate issues earlier in the year. I think I read somewhere that after the issues were resolved, the new Comptech products would not say Comptech on them. That may be the reason why your new Icebox does not say Comptech.

The Iceboxes no longer say Comptech. The company is now CT Engineering. In the future, you can also ask the vendors on AZ for pricing. We happen to be one of CT's largest distributors in the US and we keep this intake in stock.
