Higher Wattage Amp?

Higher Wattage Amp?

i recently came upon a deal for a 600w alpine 2 channel amp. right now i have the 400w alpine with 2 12" apline type-s subs. will getting the more powerful amp make an difference in quality or deepness of bass?

you probably won't be able to hear the difference. you'll probably only feel it depending on how high your subs are rated. this belongs in the audio section.

I got a higher output alternator because I have a system in my car. I took my car to a shop and they removed it and re-wound it to put out more amps. I'm not positive, but I think stock, the Type-S alternaters put out 120 amps, now it puts out 160-180. I can't remember how much they said it puts out. They also ran larger wire from the alternator to the battery. I don't know if it makes a difference in the way the system sounds because I got it done before I put my system in, but it does keep the battery charged so it won't drain all the power when the stereo is on. I have 2 500 watt mono amps, and 1 300.4 channel amp w/ 2 12's.
