HID conversion

Just ordered my 01-03 fog lights and wanting to purchase an HID conversion kit for them...also was wondering if i could change the oem bulbs for different bulbs without changing the ballasts. Bascially I plan on doing 10000K for the foglights and also 10000K for headlights. Should I just buy two new kits for both or can i buy bulbs for headlights and will they work with the oem ballasts...thanks guys

if you mean you got 01-03 civic foglights, you can order an h11 kit

although i recommend you purchase 3000k (as it's more practical for its purpose) 10000k will do you no good in either your headlights or foglights, you'll just end up blinding oncoming traffic and lose overall visibility.

5000k for low beams tops

cool, also was wondering the bulbs that came with the kit are 55W, will the 35W work??

Also, so 10000K is unsafe or just useless???

35W. i wouldn't go 55w i've heard of it melting housings and damaging the chrome on the inside.

10000k can be unsafe, considering you lose your availible light output compared to stock or 5000k.

that gives you some background info on the subject manner

yeah, 10000k maybe a pretty blue but a lot of people will call you a ricer, you lose a lot of visibility and you risk blinding oncoming traffic with the glare produced by these bulbs

so you are saying go with a 3000K for my fogs (isn't that yellow) and do my headlights at 5000K (which is white)

Nothing will give you more usable light than the stock 4300.

5k is nice, its pure white when warmed up and throws good amount of light. 4.3k is the highest light output. 6k is slightly blue and throws less light.
