If all that's wrong is the flex pipe, you may just need to have a new one welded in, unless the whole flex pipe assembly is cheaper . .

Here's an example:

If the leak isn't at the steel mesh-webbing, then it should be a simple weld job. Most shops have TEG welders, which is what you need to weld stainless steel.

As for the cheap stuff, well the welds aren't as good or clean, thinner steel mesh-webing are some of the things I seen. And since I have XS headers and have seen CTs, there is a difference, plus I've had some leaks myself.

2 flex joints = cheap design, more restriction, more to fail and leak.

I got a question.
If you did'nt have any headers and could get a set of the same two flex pipe designed ones for 46 shipped would it be worth a shot.
Has any body seen gains from these?

Gains aren't really the problem, it's fitment.

ones with two flex pipes dont fit right, hence having the 2nd flex pipe so it fits a bit better. also take into account, thinner steal is used so u will have resonance, quality of welds and flex pipes. buy it once, and install it once. its a PITA to install headers.

u would see a gain but for a short time, than u need to replace the flex pipes or weld a solid pipe in where the 2nd flex pipe is in. but the concern is still with the cheap thin metal used.

not worth it. calculate the time and cost of welding in a straight pipe in place of the 2nd flex pipe, and a few thousand miles down the road replacing the flex pipe. u will still have the resonance problem, and that will kill u

Shipping is not refundable on ebay. So if you think about it, the guy is trying to sell them as a no return item which means, it may not be the best of quality.
