Welcome to AZine.

Jeez, lot of noob header threads recently.

Depends on your budget:

$50-$100: eBay headers (don't buy)
$100-$200: XS-P headers (hit or miss; kind of gamble)
$300: DC headers
$400: Used CT headers
$1000: New CT headers

There are others, but you get the idea. Expect to spend at least 200 bucks.

They are quality headers, as long as you get the newer design. They made an older design that had some problems, but if they fixed it.

I'd personally go with DC, if you have an auto transmission.

We've had great experiences with the DC headers on the 2nd gen CL/TL. They are now made out of T409 stainless steel with a ceramic coating. Disregard the pic but that is the right part #. Good in stock.

The exhaust manifolds are built into the head on the 3rd gen TL. We offer our own j-pipe and catback exhaust but there are no headers to make.

They're not very good for the price. DC would be a better choice.

Header install problems?

Hey, I am thinking of installing new headers on my 2000 TL. Can I get some tips for replacing them? I can see that the front header won't be too much of a problem but, how in the world do you get to the rear header? It seems so far in there and I just can't conceive of getting to it! I have access to auto-lifts and lots of tools. I am either going to get DC or Megan headers. What would you guys recommend? I hear good things about DC but what about Megan Racing? Thanks guys!

Of the 2, Get the DC. The rears you can do from up top or from under the car. Removing the strut tower makes it easier to do from up top. Both are about the same difficulty. No lift is needed but if you can use one, do it. The hardest bolts are the bolts that attach to the cat. Start spraying them (and the bolts that attach the lower pipe to the cast manifold) every day with a good penetrating oil
