Getting HID

Any suggestions on HID i should get? What brand or anything? i was thinking about 6000K.

Will i need to buy the kit since my car already comes with xenon lights thats what i was told on here that i wouldnt have to.

I want to get my fogs done too but i know i am going to need a kit for that job.

your car comes stock HIDs. is there any reason why you're changing them? stock is 4300K and i wouldn't go anything over 5000K. the higher you go in Kelvins, the less light visibility on the road. as far as brand, PM excelerate (vendor) and he'll be able to tell you what's decent.

6000k lowbeam and fog lights. If you live in a foggy area i would say 3000k fogs would be nice. 5000k is more practical, 6000k is sexier imo.

I have a couple extra kits I wouldn't mind selling. I have 8k Drop in bulbs in my car with ALOT of light travel, and then 3,000k HID 9006 Kit in the fogs.

Sorry, iphone pictures!

Let me know if your interested!

The fogs are BRIGHT yellow and look like IS-300 color when looking at them directly.

i have stock 4300K. you should really consider getting anything over 5000K-6000K. again, it's too blue and there's no visibility. someone else chime in.

If you want more light visibility, then i'd suggest getting nothing over 6000k, as LeeDan00 have said. Some people, like myself, drive on lighted roads most of the time and prefer higher K's just for the looks.

Since you mentioned you lived in places that's foggy, I would say do 5000k or 6000k for your low beams, and 3000k for your fog lights. It'll look very nice.

I wouldnt go for any thing over stock. Especially if you need max viability. There is a difference between 6k and 4300, especially when you are out of the city and on roads without street lights.

I'm going to see if these 5k's I have here look good and compare the light visual... I think 6k would be best, but I love my 8ks.

I have a tl type s and i have the stock HID lights right now and the stock fog lights which are a yellowish color. I want to change the headlight bulbs to 6000k and i know i wont need the whole kit because it already comes with stok HIDs, and i wanted to know if i could get 6000k bulbs for my foglights too or would i have to get the whole kit to convert to 6000k hid fogs?? Also if had tinted headlights, and then got the 6000k bulbs for my headlights will the brightness decrease significantly....i ask this because ive heard that tinting the headlights dimms the brightness a little

ok first question...u could get the 6k for the fogs but u do need the whole HID kit..our vendors have the kit...and yes if u tint the headlight it will dim the brightness out..not sure by how much but it would...

I saw a loss in light with the 6000ks. I sold those and bought the 5000ks for my FX projectors. I can see EVERYTHING in the dark now, its great!
