Which exhaust should i get?

i need help finding and exhaust system that will sound good, as in a lil deeper and a lil louder without sounding like a little ricer, ive been looking at clips on youtube and found some pretty good sounding systems from Comptech and Tanabe Hyper Medalion Exhaust anyone got any suggestions?

listened to them and they sound good, you think i should first remove both mid mufflers and see if that sounds good enough and go from there?

if you're not looking for a drastic change that'll be a good idea. I just got Tsudo mufflers off eBay and removed a mid muffler.

friend of mine has comptech exhaust and intake on his type s, the intake actually drowns out the exhaust towards 6000+
so if you want something a little more noticeable, apexi is good

Apexi WSII is the best one to go. Whole catback exhaust system is about the same price as axle back exhaust from Comptech. Sound is nice deep tone, not too loud and yet quiet when you need to.

i've only used the greddy evoII and won't go with anything else.

this is a hard question to answer though...

i've used greddy's on all my cars and absolutely love the quality and deep exhaust note.

I am pretty sure I have heard your flowmasters.

They sound nothing like the Comptechs.

x2 on that. When I think of flowmasters I think of SUV's. My boy's mostly ride Denali's and Navigators & they put Flowmasters on there trucks and it sounds way too heavy and deep for a sedan.

I've heard HKS dragger...very nice!!! But where would you find HKS that would fit TL. I don't think they have set up for TL exhaust.

I also vote for Apexi WS2, If you want a cheap mod just for sounds. Get your resonator and mid-muffler removed.

Thumbs up TL-S Exhaust

I had been wondering the same thing last year. After doing a lot of researching, I decided to put a set of Tanabe Super Medallion Hypers on. WOW! Was I and a lot of others surprised. I had my local Meinike shop put them on and they said they never had such a good fitting exhaust and sound was awesome. The manager was a former Acura service man and was amazed how good they sounded and fit. They have my old exhaust hanging in their shop, still in one piece.
I also have installed Injen CAI and also an awesome set-up, a set of Megan Racing SS Headers. Some say they had problems with them but I took extra precautions when installed. I have no leaks, rattling or as such. To tie everything in, I also installed a Unchip Perf. Module. I'm sure you would be pleased with the sound. No ricer sound out of my Silver Surfer!....

The Apexis are very hard to come by. Tanabe's Super Hyper Medallion is pretty much the best choice because of quality, price, inventory, and sound.

If you need a set PM me. I keep some in stock.

whats the sound difference between a comptech exhaust, removing one midmuffler, and removing both midmufflers?
order from quietest to loudest? any droning? etc...

also can you tell the hp differences with the ct because i wanna get sound out of my exhaust but dont really feel like spending tons of money on the ct when im really looking for sound and ive heard the ct exhaust only gives like 3-5 hp. id rather just throw on some nice tips and remove my resonators than spend tons of money on hp that i wont even feel.

OK this is probably raising this thread from the grave, but tell me this guys, how come there is no invidia mufflers out there? Listen to this and tell me what you guys think.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=3TIvK9gXOsc
by no means this is my exhaust, but I would love for my car to sound like this. I don't have TLS though. What would I need to make this happen? Any experts?
Thank you.
