Exhaust question

So i'm interested in the HKS Drager and also the Apexi WS2. AutoCarParts.com has the HKS for $517 shipped. and HeelToe has the Apexi for $661 shipped. is the catback worth an extra $150. what are the differences between these two anyway?

^ axleback, you keep your stock piping which is restricted.. ish... you'd get better gains with the catback compared to axlebacks..

if you only want sound. get the HKS draggers... only thing i don't like about them is that they sit to inside the bumper...

Most people find the catback to be worth the extra dough, just do a search for Apexi WS2. The sound is pretty good imo, the canisters are a little big in my taste and people have had problems with rust and stuff (i think?) Personally I'm going to be taking the same route as you and ordering a set for my CL from that same site. Good luck with your choice dude

I would prefer getting the catback but the canisters on the WS2 is just too big for me.

You could always just do a nice axleback of your choice mated to a custom b-pipe

Actually, if you bought an axleback and got a custom b-pipe, you'd be wasting $. That's just like getting a catback, without it being as good as a catback, performance-wise. You might as well get a catback, since the piping is most likely mandrel-bent, and of better quality than getting something "custom" at a muffler shop.

no..

stainless steel... regular steell... etc etc.. there are different grades of steel that people use to make exhausts piping with...

should say something like T304 and so on.

Well of course, I meant to say that the shop would probably have a variety of those right?
