will the atlp exhaust bolt up to the headers directly plus naperville cops suck i cant get somthing that is to loud

 

will the atlp exhaust come with everything like the mid pipe/resonator

 

the exhaust doesnt bolt up to the headers.

headers --> cat --> exhaust

and atlp comes with everything, its a full catback. your going to have to add yourself to the list because they are only made for group buys

i have a honda mechanic hook me up im dating his daughter it is friggen awsome shes a keeper to. haha honda of lisle. is this exhaust gonna fit my 02 tl type s do you know. and does it come with a cat

 

You might wanna e-mail him, I think this batch was just for 3rd gen TLs. My wife's dad is a Honda lover, he does work on them but dont know if he can do the install. Does your gf's dad do pipes?

 

Why are the ATLP exhausts on group order?

 

it does not come with a cat. you have a stock cat already. go PM excelerate to order a high flow cat if you want the most out of your headers/ATLP exhaust combo. it will fit your type-s
its made when its ordered.

why is it in group orders? because sending the piping to a regular dude that just bends pipe.. it'll raise the cost more than sending piping to get 10+ pipes bent..

comptech, dc sport are top notch. xs headers are ok if u find them.

atlp exhaust provides the most hp gains

also think about getting a high flow cat from our vendors or a straight pipe from p2r. i have a custom one made and love the higher rpm pull

U don't need to wrap them

 

my setup is great but after installing the HFC and resetting my ECU i lost gas mileage.. its def worth it tho bc my car has a unique sound and power whenever i need it

 

^bc ur on the gas more often.

i have a test pipe and still getting 26+mpg when i drive normally, yes i learned how to do that, and my car has some bent valves and misfires from time to time bc of that. still cant believe im getting the great gas mileage that im getting with those problems

 

Im getting those numbers and as high as 33mpg all hwy with all the mods i have (and my test pipe and exhaust setup) .

 

But u don't have bent valves . Soon it will all good and better than before

 

what i think happened was that when i reset the ECU the car learned to shift at later points determined by my driving habits.. i believe it used to shift gears at normal acceleration from 2k-2.5k.. now its more like 2.5k-3k

not a huge difference, but still a difference

and yes, i like to hear the exhaust so i give it a little gas when i can.. especially in parking garages

 

how do you know if you have bent valves

 

misfire, runs rough, and very low compression in that cylinder.

 

how loud will it be with the headers. will i get pulled over for noise.

 

headers wont increase the exhaust noise much. ull just feel a nice and solid pull.

 

, that's exactly what I felt. A nice great pull in first gear especially haha. It's just basically more air flow coming through vs. the stock and heavy headers. some people might have that resonance sound but that'll be the only loud thing you'll here from having aftermarket headers.

thats the one. u can find them used on here for 600-750 on the black market.
