ok..peoples..is there an cat back system that doesnt give you the ricer look like the comptech system..but is also close to the same performance gain..but thats cheaper than the comptech system..thanks for any replies..later

for a TL-P you can get 5whp gain on a cat back setup

 

apex'i world series exhaust, or the Tanabe hyper medallion, can get them both for under 600, which is like half the cost of a comptech

 

half the cost of the 600 but tanabe gives s ricey look and the apex'i sounds alittle too grunty when driving..

maybe you should look into the black market section and buying a used set of comptech's whenever its available. but you'll have to look carefully, they come and go in minutes. haha

 

are you saying the Comptech system looks RICE?
if your looking for gains DONT look for it from the exhaust. look into other ares like the headers, UR pullies, CAI.

The stock exhaust is not so bad, and has a fairly straight shot from out of the exhaust manifold to the exhaust tips. If you are looking for performance gains, try something else first as the Comptechs provide very little in terms or performance, and are much more about looks, and sound. Pretty much any muffler you like willl provide you the same results if you really are interested in doing your exhaust.

i say apex all the way, i had an apex exhaust system on just about every car ive ever owned, and they have never dissapointed me, and they sound the best imho..

no the comptech looks far from ricey..i love it but not the cost..i know the exhaust is minimal hp gains but i plan on combining with a headers..etc..ive looked at the APEX'i World Series..i like the looks and the price..but you guys say it does not have nice sound..anyways thanks for all the replies so far..peace..

 

which headers do you guys think next to comptech..ive looked at the OBX..any other ones you guys prefer..???

^^ Alphawerks, regarding the exhaust I have the CT catback, you could always go with the CT axle back and remove the resonator although in the end its your car do what you think is best
