Ebay Brembo Slotted and Cross-drilled??
Has anyone actually bought these? i know Brembo only manufacturers blanks for our car and these companies just cross drill and slot it, themselves, but do these REALLY have a high chance of cracking and suchh?

Does anyone have any actual experience with their slotted and drilled rotors cracking? I've had no problems on the slotted and cross drilled rotors on my '94 rx7 or my '02 TLS. They've been on the RX7 for 4 years, albeit minimal mileage since it's not a daily driver and I've put over 10K on TLS slotted and cross drilled since June or so of last year

That's alot of holes in those rotors. I've heard the more holes, the greater the likelihood of cracking to occur.
I bought Brembo X-drilled and slotted rotors off Ebay. They have held up great thus far. But I have babied them....ie no super hard breaking, not holding the brakes in one position too long(read something about this a while back), and not washing my car while the braking system is still hot.

I have the Brembo X drilled and slotted all around, bought off of e-bay. I have to say that these rotors do not have as many holes as the pic above. I haven't had any problems yet, but I only put about 10k on them. I'll have to examine them real close and get back to you guys.

noticed them with around 50k miles on them and had them on till around 70k miles on them

and to clear things up, it cracking usually only happens as the rotor ages and goes thru many hard cycles

I wouldn't trust other companies that drill into Brembo rotors. Brembo designs the rotors to spec so modifcation to them such as holes may cause problems to the rotors.

I had those brembos on for a while now and they are doing just fine......the only problem with mines is that it SQUEAKS after a while....I tried changing brake pads but it didnt work...I had the AXIS Ultimates on at first and they was squeaking real bad, then switch to a lighter type pads to the AXIS PDRs and that made it less squeak....It still squeaks once in a while, but performance wise they are really good to me and stops real well in any condition...

Have you tried the EBC Greenstuff? My brakes don't squeek with the EBC and Brembo combo.

Axxis is by far the worse kinds of pads you can get. they'll squeal with any kinds of rotors. try EBC greenstuff, but if thats too expensive, contact Excelerate from the group buy and get the Rotora H2 Ceramics. They work AWESOME! no squeal and packs a bite when you brake. the H2's that Excelerate is selling is pretty damn cheap too, compared to any other performance pads

I have them for about 2,000 miles w/ Hawk Performance Pads (non ceramic).
They squeaked at the first 500 miles but it's gone now. Next time I'll try the EBC green stuff.
On my previous car (01 Jetta), I have the Brembo cross drilled rotors as well for about 50,000 miles with no sign of cracking.

Lucky of you that live in warm weather, I wish the winter won't get too bad here

I bought them drilled and slotted brembos from ebay and I've had them on for at least 30K. No cracks. The only biggie I have is the sqeak which isn't too bad but it does get annoying. It usually starts when the brakes are warmed up to a good point but it's usually so low I ignore it or I dont hear it because of the music. I switched to those rotors and put EBC Redstuff on at the same time. All I have to say is that I know for sure I get better breaking and less worrying about warped rotors which is what led me to change those damn stock rotors.
