i was just wondering has anybody ever done a 2nd gen tl with dual tip mufflers like the 3rd gen tl type S just wondering ,I was thinking of buying two of these was goin to see what your thoughts were thaxs guys and girls.

i think i remember seing it on one before ill see if i can find the pic but from what i remember it doesnt look good on our car it looks good on the 3g only

 

yet i was wondering about it too because i guess the dual tips do look good yet if you can find a pix that would be coo thaxs man for the look out

 

hell yea im gonna do dat in da summer my fren had his done last summer it was basically a cut by da mid muffler which was deleted and a weld wit da rubbers it was perfect tucked up n everything its worth it

dual tips look bad on our cars for the simple reason we have the cutouts for 1 tip, not 2.

anyways, im a big fan of quad tips. theres gotta be a way to make it work on our TLs. maybe widen the exhaust cutout on the bumper, add chrome tips, and put it closer to the bumper? that picture is awful. can anyone find another picture of a TL with quad tips?

 

With the OEM body kit and the cutout cut out for dual with the mufflers ducked up higher it could very well look good. With out it though i dont see it looking right.

 

i agree. i could see someone trying to make it look like the 3g tl-s but it would need to be tucked away. and i as well am ashamed to be the same age as reese8289. guess some people just aren't very civilized.

 

I think 3" tips as posted on that ebay is a bit too big for quad tips. Maybe 2.5s would look cleaner.

 

Maybe have a custom rear lip with an exaust opening similar to that of a 3g Aspec.

Yea, it doesn't look good, this is the first time ive ever seen a 2g tl with quads, and its waaay off. Like someone mentioned it would be interesting to see quads groomed up on an oem kit. Much like the 3g tls.

there was this one guy on here.. with a ngm, quad tips.. couldn't really see the other side too well but from what you could see it looked really well executed

 

doesn't really flow well on a 2g.. but to each their own..
