i didnt want to waste the money on the rear only because 70% of the braking power comes from the front. But thats why i also purchased the steelbraided brake lines so that the braking force is on the pads. And yes i am also replacing the pads thats a must considering im replacing the rotors due to it vibrating violently lol

They improve brake pedal feel as steel braided lines do not flex like the OEM rubber lines.

Congrats on getting the new rotors. Slotted rotors perform better, but drilled rotors look great!

^ I agree but I'm pretty sure they're more susceptible to cracking

You'll be very happy with the EBC D/S rotors. I am. What pads will you be running with them? I'd recommend the EBC redstuffs. With my braking setup (EBC rotors + pads, ss lines), my stopping power feels twice as good as stock.

i have stoptech on the rear. no problems whatsoever - no noises, vibrations, wear, etc. i think you'll be happy with them, especially if the comparison is stock parts.

you never answered - what pads are you going with?

Yeah, that noise was annoying. After a few months though, that noise is gone.

i've had mine (rotora drilled/slotted) for over two years and still makes the noise, but it's not very loud and it only makes that sound when i brake heavily or i'm in a tunnel or next to a wall. it doesn't bother me. brakes great.

Ive had Stoptech drilled and slotted rotors for well over 2 years and 70k miles. I have never heard any noise from them at all. I run Centric ceramic pads and have S.S. brake lines as well. I run Motul 600RBF fluid and flush my system every 30k.

sorry fellas havent been on. Bt anyway to answer your question the brake pads i normally buy are from autozone. I know this is a big no no in most of your eyes but the truth is this vehicle is an everyday driver and the reason for my purchase was to eliminate brake fade from high speeds getting off of off ramps. I havent paid for brake pads in over 5 years now and the specific one i purchase doesnt let out that much brake dust so my rims stay clean longer. Duralast gold i believe the name is. well thanks fellas i know im going to recieve alot more responses now after saying duralast gold LoL

This is true. Drilled rotors are more susceptible to cracking.

Drilled rotors are more prone to cracking...but that doesn't mean they'll crack. Slotted rotors perform better, in general, and are usually cheaper than drilled rotors.

Drilled rotors are by and large for show, as they're eye-catching and look nice.

FWIW, I'd personally go for slotted rotors for performance purposes.

iv had them for about 1k miles, i am really impressed with them. the noise is not bothersome to me, and the performance is great. i was very careful installing them and driving the first 500 miles, run out was less than .001 inches, hand tightened lugs. the brake in coating on the pads made a lot of dust but once that is gone they make very little dust. ill be bedding them in with in the next 1k miles. red stuff pads take almost 1500 - 2500 miles to brake in. the "gold" rotors from ebc do not stay gold were the pads contact the rotor, it wears off, but the rest of the "gold" coating stays on rust protecting the rest of the rotor.

Yeah, they're a great setup. I've had my setup for 7 months and love my brakes. They work amazingly well in the rain. Did you install SS brake lines too?

i didnt get around to installing ss brake lines. i was expecting them to fell like the stock brakes but to my amazement they are much firmer and had excellent feedback. almost like ss lines are not needed, well i dont know, i'm sure they would make a difference. i was in the rain the other day and i couldn't even feel a difference, it felt like a dry day. i also love how as the brakes get warmer they perform even better.

my ebc's squeak and squeal slightly a very low speeds (less than 5 mph). but remember i havn't even bed them in or gone past the recommended brake in mileage, so it is normal for them to squeak here and there. i cant hear them unless the window is open, its not bothersome or affects performance. i think ebc said that they will squeak for the first few thousand miles. just to keep in mind if your leaning towards them. Otherwise these brakes have been nothing short of spectacular.

okay fellas here is the deal i recieved the brake lines and when i looked at the rotors they were not cross drilled so yea more wait time however i did find out that you can not use duralast golds on these brake rotors, b/c of what they are made of they will eat away at the rotors so there for im going with hawk brake pads they cost around 90 out the door i should recieve everything next week and once again as soon as i put them on feel them out i will be sure to post the feedback FYI HAWK pads are supposedly what come with brembo big brake setups as well as stoptech they are very reputable and should have better performance than others. again i can only compare to factory as i have never put anything else on my TL

Thumbs up

Ok fellas i finally put the rotors and pads on the car. The install was fairly easy and i figured since i had everything off any way, i decided to paint the calipers red as well. So here are the photos i still cant give you guys feed back other than they feel really good for now. have not really tested them out as soon as i do though i will post another response. Also you will see i went with the slotted instead of drilled due to negative feedback on the drilled rotors
