cover

http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1.../3182001_8.jpg can someone tell me what the silver piece in the midle of the black plastic cover is and is there a gasket in there im trying to powder coated at work but i dont know if theres a gasket that ill need to replace if i take it out thank u

It covers the top of the IM. Once removed it allows access to the bolts to take the upper IM off and clean the EGR ports. There is a metal gasket under there. You can reuse it if it doesnt get bent.

looks good, how much did that cost you? i just painted mine red and clear coated it, no problems with the paint.

i think you should paint everything else gloss black to match it better. i think it looks kind of off right now but if it was all the same shade of black it would look good

it didnt cost me anything im a powder coater and yes im painting everything else gloss black to macth and soon im powder coating the calipers also

i dont know much about powder coating but can u do it at home or does a shop have to do it? also is it better than spay painting?

u can do it at home if u have the materials which are expensive and yes its way better than spray paint it wont rust or fade it can last along time if u take care of it for instance i did the hitch on my truck 5 years ago and it still looks new heres our website http://www.powdertech.biz/ and heres my bike all coated http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...l_NYgixxer.jpg

Are there any torque specs to put it back on or can you just romove it. and put it back on.

instead of polishing get it chrome polishing u will always have to be cleaning it

or have it cleared afterwards. It will help it last longer. but chrome is a better option. black chrome
