wassup guys, Im in the works of buying my intake but heres the thing, dont know which one to get? if someone can answer these questions for me that'll be great. heres the ones im lookin at

AEM- HP? how does it sound?
IMJEM- HP? how does it sound?
COMPTECH- HP? how does it sound?

if anyone has any other suggestions for any other brands please let me know, this would be goin on a type-s and can someone please also let me know which sounds the best? thanks guys...... ill try to get pics up soon.

They all do about the same. Comptech will be the quieter of the bunch but makes the most. Id suggest doing a search. Its discusses quite often.

 

lol, you know what it is ive always been used to looks instead of performance and plus this is a car i want to do right not half assed ya know. but thanks i will def. look that up

 

I prefer the Injen. It's nice and quiet until you stomp on it. I felt a slight gain on the butt dyno as well. Fitment was perfect and I've had no issues the 1 year I have had it so far.

My cousin has the Comptech Icebox on his 01 CL-S and it was a BITCH to install and fitment was actually not so great. We had to do a lot of moving things around and pushing on stuff to get it to sit correctly. It was just as quiet as stock, but felt more responsive to me. He says he really doesn't feel a difference.

I don't have any experience with the AEM, but I'm sure it's about the same as the Injen. The AEM dryflow filter is great. (currently using that on my Injen)
