Cold air vs Short ram intakes

wells right now i have cold air and im wondering if i should change it to short or just leave it. I drive my car a lot so im wondering whats better.

I say cut a hole in your hood and extend it so it sticks out the hood for extra cold air

I heard if you take it out and replace it with an SRI you get +12whp
