Cold air intake vs short ram intake

What are the pros and cons between a CAI and a SRI?? Cause i do know CAI is about 100 dollars more expensive, but is it actually worth the performance difference or is there not a significant difference?

def go with the CAI.. you will get better performance especially during the summer in Cali.. just don't drive into a deep puddle!

CAI is the way to go and there is a piece(forget) that you can put on it to prevent water getting sucked up into the intake.

Its a bypass and its not worth the money and not needed unless you plan on driving into lakes

Im still on stock height so I'm not that low, yea and i live in so-cal so it doesnt rain here to often and i guess i can avoid puddles. So you guys think its worth like the extra $100 for a CAI. I was searching for used ones on these forums but i couldnt find one yet.

Haha maybe it is, but you got to start low, cause the price is always higher, i really dont know about pricing on these used things since im kinda new to this. For sure im not going over 200 cause i would just go with a new one then.

Quick question will any 2gen CAI fit on my 2000 model

Why does yours not fit onto the 2000 tl. First investment im putting into my car is the 105k service, and that will deplete my money quite a bit, so its probably better i wait till i get that service done first. But atleast i know that im going to be going with the CAI now. If i buy used ill probably look for $150

Oh lol just saw what car you have, yea i guess a 03 tl-s wont work with mine

i just purchased a AEM CAI from one of the azine members on here for $50 had to drive like 2 hrs to pick it up tho. it was worth the drive because he threw in the K&N filter too.

not this question again. this has been beaten like a dead horse. do a search.

and to answer your question, get a cai. it's worth every penny.

You're better off doing a search first. If nothing hits, start a new thead instead of hijacking someone intake thread.

If you're going to spend the money on performance at least get one of the best things. CAI for sure.
