there's nothing electronic in the midmuffler nor would i think an o2 sensor would be in there. reason i say get code read because something could have coincidentally popped up during the install? i'm just taking shot in dark.

I would look at the )2 sensors, the exhaust shop may have let it hang by the wire or yanked on the pipe hard enough to damage it. Reset it and see if it comes back on.

A leak in the exhaust where the resonator or mid muffler are would NOT cause it. I have run NO exhaust from the cat back and it never triggered it, nor should it. They damaged his O2 sensor.

like kris said, if it was a leak it wouldn't trigger a CEL, it would just be annoyingly loud.

went to the muffler shop yesterday and had them fix my o2 sensor up. like sohcisme said, just push the pins back into the connector. all 4 of mines got pulled out, so it took them awhile to figure out which pin goes into which hole .. but in the end, no more CEL !

midmuffler is only for sound . tsudo sp's were too damn quiet .. so i had my midmuffler removed .. it sounds nice and deep now .. its not really that loud tbh . its bearable . i'll post a vid up soon .

but if you're stock and just plan on doing the midmuffler removal .. it won't sound THAT loud after .. theres videos on youtube you can watch but like you said .. you don't trust youtube sounds .. guess you gotta hear it in person

there is no downside .. midmuffler delete is like removing the resonator .. it's just for sound .. with the midmuffler on ... it basically resonates the loud engine noise . you don't lose power or mpg .

That is no mid muffler, AERO AR25 resonator, and Magnaflow "RACE" mufflers, which i believe are just large resonators, after 12 seconds, that is basically what the car sounds like, check out my other video for mid muffler delete, aero resonator, and stock mufflers.

The downside is you might get a CEL if you aren't careful....

^ negative. you won't get a CEL at all unless the muffler shop (like mines) doesn't use a stand when cutting off the midmuffler. basically causes the pins to get pulled out when the rest of the exhaust falls/hangs. make sure you tell them to use a stand. it will save you time from putting back the pins (in my case, all 4 were pulled out when the exhaust fell/hanged). putting back the pins would also require to use a lift, unless you have a racing jack & good lighting underneath.

and if you do get a CEL for anything other than the pins getting pushed out.. it's most likely a leak in the weld. just tell them to reweld it and clear the code.. should be good to go after. but otherwise, this is just a cheap mod for sound
