and wiper nozzles, they can be a little closer, they just need to be angled up a little more, or if we must we could always put it on the arm like on some cars

plus, if it looks somewhat oem it will look nice painted

so so far hood pins like this be allright, especially since they are paintable

revise the hood bracing for more clearence

fiberglass option that at the same time is cheaper too, but not quite as light

then a vent like this \/ at the back to help underhood temps, then also something along these lines for the actual bulge in the hood

then have it extend a little further back, to help cover the wipers a little more for aesthetics, but also aerodynamics

then the chrome front piece seems to be kinda mandatory also , but as said some people want to still rock the stock grill though

with an estimate of $800-850 for the CF hood (and cheaper for the fiberglass version),
plus a 50% deposit before this will happen from everybody

1. friesm2000, bulge
2. gfrg88, bulge
3. jaMezBOI, bulge
4. kdawg8526
5. VIP typ-S, stock
6.
7.
8.
9.

btw the bulge hood would hopefully be a stock appering hood, so along the stock lines, but at the same time providing more clearance
then hopefully also have a stock sized one too[/quote]

it suppose to be a down arrow , and the vent is with how the hood rises up in that picture, that would be open so air could flow out of there and help keep the under hood temps down

whatever keeps the under hood temps cooler, im down for... as long as the vents dont look tacky and cheap

edit: thats true, plus its just adding more work thats not really necessary. If the hood comes up how it is in the pic, that will help abit anyways

the reason for it going out the back of the hood along the wipers, then also slightly extending the hood backwards, so you can't see them from the outside really

I think if it's just like a cowl hood type thingy, that will help lower the temps down a shit ton.. And like Jamez said, A LOT less work, and will prolly keep cost down a bit

which is why we said pretty "decent"

You want the power bulge, you're gonna have to get a facelift

it mounts too close to the passenger side so theres a gap on the driver side that sticks up, you can see my intake through it. oh and the hood struts dont screw into it.

How much room is really needed underneath? A mild bulge is best I think...but what is the minimum needed?

jaMezBOI, would be your best bet for exactly how much room is needed, since he has actually made the hood high enough for the spacer to fit on his

wouldnt the bulge look out of place due to the crease we have running down the middle?

you just put the crease in the raised portion , and then as far as the sides, you just go a little higher on them
