Can anyone confirm the AEM V2 gains twice as much as AEM
can anyone confirm that AEM V2 gains twice as much horsepower to the wheels and the regular AEM intake??? I went to autobac yesterday, and the guy at the counter told me that the best intake out there right now is the AEM V2, gains twice more horses than the original AEM, Injen, or Comptech Ice Box. I was like "NO FUCKIN WAY!!!"

it does give more...but no way 2 times. maybe a few more thats it - I do like mine alot though. Most dynos I have seen dont show much for the regular AEM CAI. The dynos for the V2 and Comptech Icebox do so some noticable gains however, you dont get much HP with an intake no matter the brand, you do get some sweet sounds though!

I don't know, maybe the reason he said that is because I told him I have AEM CAI, and he wants me to switch to V2. Is V2 better than IceBox?? If I had a choice I really want the IcebOX

Icebox arm is made out of plastic..
AEM arm is made out of aluminum..
Since metal retain heat alot better and longer than plastic.. and the air passing thru the AEM should be warmer than when it passes thru the Icebox, and since cooler air means denser oxygen, and denser oxygen means more power, technically the Icebox should be better in theory... but then again what do i know bout buttdynos eh?
Lol...

i remember reading somewhere that V2 stands for Version 2 of the AEM CAI and in no way will it give you twice the HP but I hear the AEM stickers add 15 to 20 whp if applied in the right spot
